I took this shot when testing a roll of Forte B&W film ISO 400. This was one evening in Surry Hills, 2007. I was photographing the fern fronds brushing against the window when the man walked to the door and rang the bell. It’s a nice film, has good tonality and quite grainy. Forte were based in Hungary but the factory closed early 2007. It’s probably a shopping centre now. They also made good B&W paper. It was originally set up as the Kodak plant for Eastern Europe in the 1930s & was nationalised under the communists after WW2. Camera was a Leica M6 with 35mm lens & the dev was most likely Xtol.
